HI my name is Alma.
When I started my career in London, I felt completely alone. I didn’t know what to do, where to begin, or how to find my place in the art world. I was lost—searching for guidance, hoping to find a mentor, an artist who could help me navigate this path. But that person never came.
Coming from the other side of the world, from Asia, with no money and no connections, my journey has not been easy. There were moments of doubt, frustration, and setbacks. But I refused to give up. I educated myself, I studied everything I could, and I wrote down every single step I took to find my way in.
I learned by trial and error, pushing forward, one step at a time.
Years later, with perseverance and faith, I am now a well-established artist. I have completed numerous commissions, worked with galleries, participated in prestigious art fairs, been featured on magazines and mentored a handful of artists along the way.I have taught numerous group workshops, team-building events, and more. But my journey has also given me something greater—a deep desire to help others so they don’t have to feel as lost as I once did.
This passion led me to establish Paperdoll Art Studio, a platform based at Wimbledon Art Studios. More than just a studio, it is a thriving community where artists can share their skills, find support, and build sustainable careers. Together, we are committed to welcoming others into this creative tribe, making art accessible and inclusive for all.
